Dr. Neal Beeber
Dr. Neal Beeber has been the owner/director of the Rutherford Animal Hospital since 1985. He was born and raised in New Jersey and did his undergraduate work at Cook College, a part of Rutger's University. He received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Michigan State University in May of 1983. He then did a one year medical and surgical internship at Oradell Animal Hospital, and became board certified in companion animal medicine in 1991. He enjoys working with all types of animals. He also has a special interest in ferret medicine and has written articles on ferret diseases. Dr Beeber recently contributed a chapter on ferret surgery to a veterinary textbook. He also has a special interest in acupuncture, herbal supplements, and traditional Chinese medicine. He has just recently completed some extensive study in this area. He is active in the community and has served as president of the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association,president of the board of Veterinary Medical Examiners and chairman of the New Jersey Veterinary Foundation.
Dr. Beeber is married, has one son, a Rottweiler-mix named George and 2 cats, Perry and Spike. He enjoys tennis, skiing, bike riding, and working for animal charities.
